I would never make a good photo journalist....

I would not be capable of separating myself from the sorrow.

Final SoundSlides Criteria

The majority of the grade will be based on the quality and communication of the images. Remember to use good light and good compostion. Also remember the face is the human communicator and we will be more impacted by your photos when you include the subject's face. Be sure your piece includes long, medium and short shots. Details can add alot of information and feeling.

The final piece should be tightly edited- no irrelevant or repetitive images.
Flip books should be played back fast enough to convey movement. Usually around 1/4 to 1/2 second.

You will need to include a title page and credit page.

The piece will need to include relevant ambient audio and an interview so some kind. The interview does not have to be formal, it can come across as narration or even as ambient, but we must hear from your subject.

This has potential to be an outstanding portfoio piece. Have fun shooting- invest yourself and let your creativity come through. I am looking forward to seeing everyone's work. If you have any questions, email me. estasko@mvcc.edu. You can also post images or audio or email them to me for feedback. I'm here to help you make the best piece you can. One that represents what you are capable of communicating and creating. Have fun!!

See you then!

PS- I'll have the itinerary for the rest of the semester up tomorrow, after I've conferred in person with Jerome.
