Basically, even though Ike is currently a Cat 2, they expect it to do a LOT of damage to Texas. This could be a problem not only because of the millions of people who could be hurt, but because Galveston is the main city of all the oil moguls. This will probably cause the price of gas to skyrocket. On a separate note, I'd really like to photograph weather and stuff like this. I think it's pretty awesome.

I find it VERY difficult to take pics of people in distress or just sitting and having an intimate moment(conversation). To take this type of photo would take a lot of gumption on my part without feeling guilty or voyeuristic.
well, i think that some of the time the best photographers have been people that made the choice to click the shutter instead of picking up a phone and calling the police, you know what i mean?
Well, I don't mean necessarily taking pictures of the people in distress. I would really like to take pics of the weather phenomena themselves, like the actual hurricane or tornado. I know what you mean about feeling voyeuristic, though.
